Oriens Advisors founder and Chief Executive Officer, Edwin has a passionate belief in the potential of very light jets as. His experience in this field has been gained via a venture fund with a specific focus on this market, in addition to personal stakes in and a board role on a leading U.S. VLJ operator. His early career was in the retail industry, with specific focus on developing and rolling out an innovative store concept in Austria, expanding into the Czech Republic. The frustration of modern short-hop travel in Europe and the ever decreasing costs of private jet travel inspired him to explore this industry further. Edwin is a CPL/IR/Multi pilot with a frozen ATPL.
Archie Garden
The non-executive Chairman of Oriens Advisors and co-founder, Archie is an energetic, dynamic and focussed multi-lingual board level executive who thrives in a challenging multi-cultural international business environment. A strong grounding in Information Technology has been consolidated by a fascinating career in the Financial Services industry and topped off by a period of consulting in the business aviation sector. An instrument rated pilot and holder of the Institute of Director’s Diploma qualification. Archie is currently Director of Cambridge Airport in the United Kingdom.
Michael Stanley Ricks
Our Chief Operating Officer and co-founder, Michael has over 20 years experience advising companies on achieving sustainable, profitable growth. He brings experience in helping ventures understand how to best leverage market opportunity and customer needs. He successfully helps entrepreneurs with planning, financing, risk management and insurance challenges. Michael earned an MBA from the Thunderbird School of Global Management, studied at the European Business School and completed executive education courses at Harvard and INSEAD. He holds the Institute of Director’s Diploma in Company Direction and is an instrument rated pilot.
